NO SCOUT LEFT INSIDE! TM Ever wonder about the word scOUTing? Getting outside is so important for boys, we put the OUT right into the word!
Camp Carpenter, located in Manchester, NH, is the home of Daniel Webster Council's Cub World. The Daniel Webster Council offers first-class resident camping opportunities to Cub Scout-age boys (entering grades 2-5 in September).
Scouts can camp individually, or with their packs. Pack 209 camps together usually in the middle of July. Tents on raised platforms are provided. Each tent has 2 cots inside, and boys are encouraged to bring mosquito netting to hang over their cots. We receive one free adult campership for every 5 scouts who sign up, so parents from our own pack will be with our boys. All meals are provided.
Scout camps are the ONLY place a scout can earn his BB Gun or Archery Belt Loops and Pins. In addition, boys have access to a slingshot range, swimming (with areas and lessons for all levels), a Pirate Cove, Water Slide, Mini Golf, BMX Biking, campfires, Native American village, and more. Boys earn an amazing number of belt loops, pins, and special badges at camp, and gain a new sense of independence.
Pack 209 will begin camp sign-ups at the Blue & Gold Dinner in February. Deposits are due by the middle of March, and boys can earn most or all of their campership costs via the Spring Hikeathon in early May. For more information, visit the NH Daniel Webster Council Camping Site.
